Francesca Pasqui, People Growth and Development Partner at Vinted Overview About Vinted Vinted is Europe’s largest online C2C platform for secondhand fashion, with a mission to make secondhand the first choice worldwide. Headquartered in Vilnius with offices across Berlin, Amsterdam, the company is home to a growing team of over 2,000 people. Vinted’s fast-paced environment requires scalable, sustainable learning. Collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement are at the heart of how Vinted operates, and the learning & development (L&D) team is no exception. The Challenge With only one person responsible for digital training development, creating scalable eLearning content was impossible. As the sole instructional designer at Vinted, Francesca Pasqui handled every digital training request with care and expertise. But as demand grew and her role expanded, so did the need for a more scalable, collaborative way to support learning across the company. The Solution By introducing Parta.io, a collaborative eLearning tool, SMEs took the lead in sharing their knowledge, with Francesca providing the structure, strategy, and support to ensure each course hit the mark. The shift unlocked a scalable, sustainable learning ecosystem aligned with Vinted’s values and encouraged a culture of learning beyond her role and the L&D team. The Outcome Francesca went from being the go-to course creator to a strategic partner, empowering 12 SMEs to begin using Parta.io as creators. Training production accelerated, content quality diversified, and most importantly, learners were genuinely engaging with what their peers created. What’s Next With a solid foundation in place, Francesca and her team are focused on evolving their digital learning library, expanding creative formats, and deepening the culture of shared learning—one project at a time. The Challenge: When Everyone Waits on One Person Francesca joined Vinted with deep expertise in eLearning development and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what training could be. Her favorite projects involved intricate designs in traditional authoring tools. But soon, she found herself in a familiar scenario for L&D professionals – being the only person responsible for every training request and struggling to keep up. “I loved what I did, but I wanted to do it better,” Francesca shares. The requests kept coming, but she didn’t have the time to talk to learners or create unique and innovative solutions. Her process was rather to take the request, grab a template, and swap the content. It wasn’t sustainable, and it wasn’t inspiring. Add to that her new responsibility as the company’s LMS admin, and the vision of creating a vibrant learning culture started gathering dust. And although stakeholders were often happy with the end result, Francesca wasn’t. “Every course had my voice, even when it shouldn’t have,” she says. “It didn’t matter how hard I tried. Having just one person building everything limits the experience for learners.” But the goal wasn’t volume, it was impact. That meant rethinking how learning was created and shared. The Solution: Building a Culture of Co-Creation Enter Parta.io. Francesca discovered the collaborative eLearning tool through a post in the L&D Shakers community and cautiously reached out to learn more. Like many L&D professionals who’ve been burned by low-quality SME content before, Francesca’s first reaction was: “These m—fine professionals are going to make me lose my job.” But what she found was something else entirely, a way to scale quality content without sacrificing instructional integrity… You see, at Vinted, co-creation isn’t just a buzzword, it’s a core value. When Francesca introduced the idea of SMEs collaborating on eLearning, the response was overwhelmingly positive. “Most people assumed they’d be building it anyway,” she laughs. “I was the one nervous about asking them to contribute”. She started small – experimenting with Parta.io herself, then gradually integrating it into internal team projects. From there, she developed a lightweight intake process: A form to capture the training request A 30-minute scoping call A recommendation on whether collaboration was the right fit A short Parta.io demo Follow-ups and project management support The result? A repeatable process that respected everyone’s time, supported quality content, and didn’t rely on Francesca being the sole creator. The Outcome: Faster, Smarter, More Human Learning Productivity unlocked Since adopting Parta.io, instead of spending 60 to 85 hours building a single course alone, Francesca now collaborates with SMEs to co-create content in a fraction of the time – typically 12 to 20 hours. That shift has made space for more thoughtful design and stronger learning outcomes. Learner engagement up A new Gen AI course launched with one internal comms push saw 60 voluntary enrollments in the first week, a record for Vinted. “I’ve never seen that level of self-enrollment before,” Francesca says. Creative freedom restored Parta.io didn’t just streamline content creation. It gave Francesca time to actually be a learning designer again. Now she’s back to building games, simulations, job aids, and scenario-based learning, formats she had to abandon under the old system. Stakeholder relationships improved With breathing room restored, Francesca has more energy to offer strategic input. “I can finally arm-wrestle stakeholders again,” she jokes. “Sometimes they don’t need training, they need a better solution. Now, I have time to figure that out with them”. Cultural transformation in motion Co-created content means learners hear from different voices, not just one. The digital learning library has become more diverse, and that diversity drives engagement. “There’s this social media effect,” she explains. “When people see their peers releasing courses, they want to be next”. What’s Next: Scaling Impact Without Losing the Heart Francesca hasn’t just implemented a new tool, she’s changed the way learning happens at Vinted. Parta.io gave her space to step out of production mode and into a role where she supports a community of creators. Francesca’s role has evolved from content creator to learning enabler — supporting others to teach while focusing her time on strategy, innovation, and sustainable growth. “It turns out,” she says. “I just needed to change how I approach my job”. And in doing so, she helped Vinted shift from one person making learning for people, to a culture where learning is made with them. ______________________________________________________ Better yet Heidi Kirby has distilled the approach into a practical SME Enablement Playbook, packed with field-tested insights from decades in the trenches of L&D.
