How ChurnZero reimagined Customer Education content with Parta

Churnzero reclaimed their creative freedom, cut revision time in half, and built more engaging experiences for their learners – without sacrificing process, branding, or testing rigor.

“With other tools, you have to sacrifice content to make it work with the template — versus having a tool that works around your content instead of against it.”

Peter Adams

ChurnZero is best known for its Customer Success platform — helping subscription businesses drive adoption, reduce churn, and grow customer lifetime value. It’s trusted by enterprise teams worldwide to keep their customers engaged and successful.

Inside ChurnZero, there’s another team with an equally important mission: the Customer Enablement team. Led by Peter Adams and Anna West, this team makes sure customers don’t just buy the product, but actually use it effectively — through onboarding programs, certifications, and ongoing training.

Like many enablement teams, they faced a familiar challenge: how to scale training that’s interactive, consistent, and engaging — without being limited by rigid authoring tools. Peter and Anna wanted more freedom to design, more space to experiment, and a faster way to keep pace with their product and customers.

That’s where Parta came in. Together, we explored how to flip the script — where the tool adapts to the content, not the other way around. Let’s dive in and see what they achieved.

Better learning experience

By exploring Parta’s no-code editor, ChurnZero unlocked the ability to design advanced interactive custom blocks for their training. Here, we showcase five of their favorite interactive blocks — all built with Parta’s no-code editor.

Exhibit #1 Lesson Navigator (interactive table of contents)

Challenge:

  • Long-form lessons feel like endless scrolling, making it difficult to stay focused.
  • Students can become discouraged and exit the course before finding what they’re looking for.

Goal:

  • Make learning easier and more accessible, with an intuitive experience.
  • ‘Simplify’ long-form lessons with an interactive table of contents to expedite info search.

Solution:

Built an interactive table of contents with jump-to section buttons and a persistent “return” button in each section. That lets learners skip the endless scroll, jump straight to what they need, and move faster through long, text-heavy lessons.

Exhibit #2 Easter egg hotspots (discoverable labels)

Challenge:

  • Dense, static content can overwhelm the learner.
  • Without a reason to engaged, students lose interest quickly.

Goal:

  • Engineer learner ‘discovery moments’ with interactive touchpoints.
  • Encourage exploration and boost engagement through mini learning rewards/bonuses.

Solution:

Used a labeled graphic with styled active labels to hide “bonus” content learners can discover. On hover, labels shift to a consistent button color to signal interactivity.

Exhibit #3 Accordion nested tabs

Purpose:

  • Show how each CX charter translates into real behaviors, metrics, and “Next Steps” attendees can apply in their next Business Review.
  • Provide a scannable and deeply contextual e-learning experience so learners can get the big picture at a glance, then drill in.

Goal:

  • Minimize cognitive load by chunking content into logical sections, hiding details until they’re needed.
  • Self-directed exploration allows decision-makers/students to breeze through all charters in 10-15min.

Solution:

Structured executive-level content with a primary tab for critical, metrics-driven information and an accordion for deeper details (also useful to product champions). Designed tab one, then duplicated for consistency so the pattern is predictable and easy to scan.

Exhibit #4 Branching scenario (feature decision helper)

Challenge:

  • When different tools have similar but distinct functionality, it could be easy to mix up.
  • Choosing the wrong tools for the job leads to frustration or unnecessary ‘workarounds.’

Goal:

  • Use a fun, scenario-based quiz to spotlight key differences between features.
  • Help learners choose the right tools with confidence.

Solution:

Resolved confusion between similar features by creating a simulated quiz that routes learners through yes/no paths and recommends the right feature at the end. Learners can restart anytime to test different paths.

Exhibit #5 Practical assessment

Purpose:

  • Standard multiple-choice tests don’t reflect real product usage.
  • Learners aren’t truly tested on how well they can navigate or use ChurnZero.

Goal:

  • Include hands-on skill checks in certification paths.
  • Let learners show what they can actually do, not just what they can memorize.

Solution:

Combined a single-select question (left) with a simulated product environment (right) so learners must navigate the UI to find the correct answer — testing real skill, not recall.

Improved productivity

To scale training without adding complexity, the ChurnZero team leaned on Parta’s tools that make design work faster, cleaner, and easier to manage. These features gave them more time to focus on content and creativity — while still keeping consistency and quality high.

1. Theme control & branding

ChurnZero uses Parta’s theme functionality to manage branding across different lessons. Instead of updating every single block, their team can switch colors and styles with just a few clicks. They’ve also created unique themes for different types of content — feature training, webinars, and implementation — using color to help learners quickly recognize the type of environment they’re in.

2. Custom collections

To save time, ChurnZero builds interactive blocks once and stores them as templates. For example, a quiz built for certification can be reused in other lessons with only minor adjustments. This approach allows them to scale content creation efficiently without rebuilding from scratch. “I spent a little bit of time on the first question for certification, but then the next ones were pretty quick. That’s what you can do with templates.” – Anna says.

3. Task management & commenting

With Parta, ChurnZero assigns tasks directly in the platform, ensuring nothing gets lost in emails or external trackers. A task takes the assignee straight to the exact spot in the course that needs attention. They also leverage commenting for user acceptance testing, enabling subject matter experts to leave precise, contextual feedback. This has significantly improved the quality of feedback and accelerated iteration.

“The feedback has actually improved — the quality is better because it’s so targeted now. Instead of general comments, we’re getting specific recommendations we can act on.” – Peter says.

4. Resource library

ChurnZero organizes all its reusable assets in Parta’s resource library. Icons, buttons, and graphics are stored in dedicated folders, making them easy to find and apply across lessons. Designers no longer need to re-upload assets for each new course, streamlining content production and maintaining consistency.

Early Impacts

For ChurnZero, adopting Parta wasn’t just about trying a new tool — it was about proving that interactive, branded learning could be both faster to build and more engaging for learners. After just a few months, the results were clear.

“We migrated from Articulate Rise to Parta. The information stayed the same, but aesthetically, visually, interactively — we improved a lot. And a 25% increase in completions is just fantastic.”

Peter Adams

1. Engagement +25 pp

Within only 4 months on Parta, ChurnZero’s onboarding course completion rate jumped from 66% to 91%. The content itself didn’t change, but the way it was presented — more interactive, more visual, more structured — made learners more likely to finish.

This 25-point increase highlights how design and interactivity directly influence engagement, even when the underlying information stays the same.

2. Revisions 2x faster

ChurnZero also saw significant efficiency gains. Content review cycles are now completed twice as fast with Parta.

“Spend a bit more time upfront to learn Parta. It requires a little work, but the rewards come quickly.”

Anna West

By investing a short amount of time to get comfortable with the no-code editor, the team now makes updates and iterations at speed — keeping pace with product changes and cutting time-to-market for new learning content in half.
